Help keep AI‑assisted songwriting free for everyone
BotWithBars is an AI assistant for songwriting and music production. It exists to help you transform half‑ideas into songs, explore new flows and structures, and better understand your own creative voice. The goal is not to replace human artists, but to give every creator a powerful, patient co‑writer.
I see this project as more than a tool. When people everywhere can turn their thoughts into music, it becomes easier to listen to each other without starting from judgement or pessimism. Music connects people from completely different backgrounds. AI simply helps us move ideas from the inside of our minds into a form that others can feel.
- ♪ Support a platform that treats AI as a creative partner, never a replacement for your artistry.
- ⚡ Help keep the core app free so anyone, regardless of budget, can explore their musical ideas.
- 🌍 Be part of a global experiment in using music and AI to deepen understanding between people.
- 🛠 Give me the resources to spend more time improving the models, prompts, flows, and safeguards inside the app.
Your support is completely optional. Everyone gets the same features, whether they contribute or not.
How your contribution is used
Contributions and donations to BotWithBars are dedicated to the project itself. They are used for:
- ✓ Covering AI model usage, hosting, bandwidth, storage, and monitoring so the site can stay fast and reliable.
- ✓ Funding ongoing development and research into better prompts, flows, and creative features.
- ✓ Paying fair compensation to the small development team as it forms and grows.
The long‑term ideal is to operate the platform entirely through voluntary support, so that BotWithBars can stay free to use and independent. I would prefer not to add paywalls or sell the project to a bigger company. But if contributions are not sufficient in the future, I may need to explore subscriptions or other funding routes to keep the app alive. If that ever happens, it will be communicated clearly.
Make a contribution
When you choose to support, you will be taken to a secure contribution interface where you can decide whether to make a one‑time donation or set up recurring support, and choose the amount that feels right. This part is handled by the payment system or donation plugin inside the app.
Whatever you decide to give, it is appreciated. Even small contributions add up and make it possible to keep improving BotWithBars without turning it into a paywalled product.
You will automatically receive a payment receipt via email from the payment provider. If you ever set up a monthly contribution, you can cancel it at any time by emailing me or cancelling via the payment app or service you authorised it from.
BotWithBars is created and operated in the United Kingdom as an independent, for‑profit creative technology project. It is not a registered charity or non‑profit organisation. The website and project are currently managed entirely by one person, and all contributions are received on behalf of the BotWithBars project and used to support development, infrastructure, and people working on it.
Because BotWithBars is not a registered charity or non‑profit, any donation, contribution, or support you provide should be treated as voluntary support for a creative project, not as a charitable donation to a charity. In the UK and most other countries, this means your contribution is generally not tax‑deductible as a charitable gift. The project treats contributions as income used to pay genuine running costs (like servers and development).
Supporting BotWithBars does not give you equity, ownership, or any special legal rights over the project or its assets. It also does not currently unlock extra features or a different tier inside the app. All users have the same level of access to the core experience, whether they contribute or not.
By choosing to support, you become part of the reason this project can continue, scale, and push the boundaries of what AI‑assisted art can be.
Contributions are voluntary and are not treated as product purchases. However, if you change your mind or if a mistake was made, the intention is to keep incoming support untouched for roughly two weeks. If you contact me within that period, I will aim to refund you in full.
After that time, some or all of the funds may already have been used for hosting, AI usage, or development. Even then, I will still review refund requests and, where reasonably possible, refund as much as I can. For recurring support, you can stop future payments at any time by cancelling in your payment app or by emailing me using the contact options on the site.
People from any country are welcome to support the project, provided it is legal for them to make online contributions from their jurisdiction. Laws and tax rules differ across countries, so you should assume your support is not tax‑deductible in your country unless a qualified adviser tells you otherwise.
By contributing, you confirm that you are using funds you are allowed to use, that you understand this is voluntary support for a for‑profit creative project, and that you will not rely on this page as personal tax or legal advice.
Any personal data collected in connection with your contribution (for example, via the payment provider) will be handled in line with the site’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which you can find linked in the footer of the website. Payment details themselves are processed by the payment service you use, not stored directly by BotWithBars.
